LH - Gold Energy ready for Shell Eco Marathon 2015

After five months of preparation for Econ Marathon 2015, on February 24, the University Management Board met and made careful recommendations to LH - Gold Energy team before their leaving for Manila, the Philippines to attend the energy-efficiency vehicle competition - Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2015.

Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien encouraged the team before their departure.

This year, participating teams has to overcome the challenge of the part "Making an experiment clip of effective fuel uses", join in exchange programs like introducing their own cultural beauty by stages and exchanging souvenir gifts.

Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2015 officially took off. According to the Organizing Board, this year’s contest attracts more than 100 teams from countries and territories across Asia and the Middle East. Lac Hong is the first non-pubic university of Vietnam to participate in such a contest. Earlier, it won EMC 2013 - Honda Award and Top 10 Shell Eco marathon Asia 2014.

The participating product of the University looks like a sport car designed with four wheels and one seat for driver. According to the instructor Le Phuong Long, the vehicle can travel 100km with only one liter of E100 ethanol gasoline.

Thi year, Vietnam has 9 teams from technical universities nationwide, particularly Lac Hong University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Industrial University, Ha Noi Polytechnic University, Ho Chi Minh city University of Transport.
