Three teams of LHU named for 2015 Robocon finals

Three Robocon teams of Dong Nai-based Lac Hong University have earned a ticket to enter the final round of 2015 National Robot Contest, which will be held in Can Tho city this May.

Eight teams representing the Southern region were selected for the national final competition.

Earlier, 17 teams from five universities and colleges in the southern region gathered at Rach Mieu Sports House, Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City on April 11 to compete in the qualifier round of Robocon 2015.  As a result, the Organizing Board has selected eight excellent teams for the final round of Robocon Vietnam. Of the eight teams which were chosen for the final round, three come from Lac Hong University including LH – BVB; LH – LION and LH – SEED. The others are from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (two teams); and the rest from Tran Dai Nghia University; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry  and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province Vocational College in southern provinces.

Lac Hong University has won five consecutive champion titles at Vietnam Robocon (from 2010 - 2014) and is the champion team at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2014. In addition, in order to encourage for Lac Hong's Robocon movement, Dong Nai Newspaper constantly tells the news about this competition.

The final round of 2015 National Robot Contest will be held in Can Tho city from May 12 to 17, attracting the participation of 32 teams from universities, colleges and vocational schools across the country. The winner of the Robocon 2015 will represent Vietnam to participate in the 2015 Asian-Pacific Robot Contest themed "Robominton" which will be organized in Indonesia in August.
