LHU takes third place at 2015 Vietnam Robot Contest

The final round of 2015 National Robocon concluded on May 17 in Can Tho city. The contest  with the theme “Robominton” attracted  the participation of 32 teams from universities and colleges nationwide. One of the three teams of Lac Hong University, LH-SEED took third place at the final competition.

The winner of this year Vietnam Robocon is FR1 team of Hung Yen University of Technical Education. 

At the first semifinal, FR1 team of Hung Yen University of Technical Education defeated CN-DT04 team of Ha Noi University of Industry. At the second semifinal, LH-SEED team of LHU was defeated by FIRE WIN team of Hung Yen University of Technical Education.

In the final match, FR1 team defeated FIRE WIN to win the title of the 2015 Vietnam Robocon. Lac Hong University’s LH-SEED team and CN-DT04 team from Ha Noi Industry University shared the third place in the contest.

At the awarding ceremony, the Organizing Board awarded VND 50 million to the winner - FR1 team. In addition, the champion received USD 1,400 from the Organization Board of ABU Asia Pacific Robot Contest. The second winner - FIRE WIN team received VND 30 million. The Organizing Board also awarded VND 20 million each to LH-SHEED and CNDT-04 teams.

Beside the three main prizes, the contest organizers gave away VND 15 million to each prize: Best Technology Award to MEC1 team of Hung Yen University of Technical Education, Best Hand-Controlled Robot to HA TINH TECH - ZEUS team of Ha Tinh Vocational Technology College, Best Style Award to VTEC- ASSYRIAN team of Vinh Phuc Economic - Technology College and Best Idea Award to SVI - 01 team of Tran Dai Nghia University.

The FR1 team will represent Vietnam at the 2015 ABU Asian-Pacific Robot Contest scheduled for August in Indonesia.
