The first university in Dong Nai meets education accreditation standard

Quality assurance is an indispensable requirement for educational institutions in their development processes, especially in the context of increasing social attention to the quality of educational institutions through testing results.

Efforts to implement quality assurance step by step to build quality culture

Dong Nai-based LHU began its quality assurance from 2008 through activities such as conducting surveys, organizing seminars, training courses, popularizing quality assurance for collective pedagogy.

In the following years, the University promoted the implementation of innovation in examination and quality assurance. Particularly, it built a lot of management software to enhance the effectiveness of these activities. In addition, the University speeded up qualification training activity by sending staff in charge of quality assurance to attend training courses inside and outside the country. The University also cooperated with reputable experts in the field of quality assurance to organize specialized seminars with compulsory participants as school leaders, heads of departments and units,... and quality assurance officers.

LHU - the first university in Dong Nai province recognized for its education accreditation standard

LHU implemented a comprehensive self-assessment of its activities based on the Ministry of Education and Training's standards of education accreditation. Self-assessment took place in a 5-year cycle, from the 2012-2013 school year to the 2016-2017 school year.

After the preliminary survey, Center for Education Accreditation - VNU-HCM officially evaluated LHU educational institution in accordance with quality standards of the Ministry of Education and Training from November 28 to December 2, 2017. As a result, according to the External Evaluation Delegation, the quality of the institution of LHU reached 81.97% of the criteria. This result was also unanimously passed by the Education Accreditation Council - VNU-HCM at the meeting on January 31, 2018.

The External Evaluation Delegation visited the Division of Corporate Relation and Student Support of LHU.

On February 12, 2018, Director of Center for Education Accreditation - VNU-HCM Nguyen Hoi Nghia issued Resolution No. 01 / NQ-HDKDCLGD in recognition of LHU for its education accreditation standards. The CEA - VNU-HCM also awarded Certificate of Institutional Accreditation according to Decision No. 05 QD-TTKD signed on March 16, 2018 for LHU.

LHU was awarded Certificate of Institutional Accreditation signed by Center for Education Accreditation - VNU-HCM.

Up to date, there are 65 universities nationwide meeting the quality standards according to the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.  LHU is the first university of Dong Nai province to be evaluated as quality standards. Presently, the University is gradually implementing solutions to improve the quality of education for the next 5-year assessment (2017-2021) while speeding up the self-assessment of training program standards in accordance with AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance) with two programs of Faculty of Information Technology and Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics.

This result is a milestone acknowledging the development of LHU in 20 years of establishment and development, contributing to raising the awareness of the quality assurance for all staff, also ia an important lever to help the University improve the quality of education towards regional and international quality standards.
