2025 Continuing Medical Education (CME) program in retrospect — continuing to accompany pharmacists in the new year

Throughout 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy – Lac Hong University organized 17 professional knowledge-updating training courses for pharmacists and pharmacy practitioners nationwide, attracting thousands of registrations and issuing a total of 1,875 certificates. This marked another vibrant year for the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, featuring three parallel components: CPE – Continuing Pharmaceutical Education, GSP – Good Storage Practices for Medicinal Products and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, and specialized topics dedicated to Research & Development (R&D).

The CME program was held regularly 1–2 times per month throughout the year, featuring 14 classes covering highly practical topics in professional practice: "Osteoporosis – Prevention and Treatment", "Antibiotic Use in Otolaryngology (ENT) Diseases", "Use of Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Drugs", "Drug Therapy for Hypothyroidism", to "The Role of Pharmacists in Counseling Iron-Deficiency Anemia at Community Pharmacies". Each course lasted 10 hours and was conducted online via Zoom on weekends, allowing practitioners across the country to easily manage their schedule and participate without traveling.

In parallel, the GSP – Good Storage Practices for Medicinal Products and Raw Materials program continued on a periodic basis, equipping learners with knowledge on drug storage principles under Circular 36/2018/TT-BYT, as well as how to build and operate GSP-compliant warehouses for wholesale, retail, and healthcare facilities.

A notable highlight of the year was the advanced topic "Theoretical Foundations of Production Batch Scale-Up" (serving Section P2.4 of the drug registration dossier), taught directly by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Hoa — a highly specialized and practical module for teams working in R&D and technology transfer across pharmaceutical companies.

All classes were conducted by an experienced faculty, including experts from the Department of Health, major medical and pharmaceutical universities, and full-time lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy – Lac Hong University, ensuring that course content remains aligned with the latest pharmaceutical laws and regulations.

Building on the achievements of 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy – Lac Hong University will continue to roll out monthly CME, GSP, and advanced specialized training courses in the upcoming period. Interested practitioners, pharmacists, and organizations are invited to follow the Faculty of Pharmacy's Fanpage and Website for upcoming course schedules, or contact us directly via the information below for early registration guidance.
