New school year opening ceremony to be held

In the morning November 12, a solemn ceremony was held at Lac Hong University to open its new academic year 2014 – 2015 and to grant diplomas to new graduates.

The ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Do Quoc Anh - Department Manager -  Minister Assistant of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc - Vice Chairwoman of  National Education Union of Vietnam's Supervisory Committee,  Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee, Mr. Dao Duc Trinh - Vice Director of provincial Department of Education and Training, representative of departments, boards, and agencies, representatives of associate enterprises, Mr. Nguyen Trung Phuong - Secretary of Party Committee of Lac Hong University, People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai - Chairman of Trustees Board - Rector,  members of Founding Council, members of the Trustees Board, members of the University Provisional Management Board and a large number of teachers and students.

In his opening speech, on behalf of the University Management Board, People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai has reviewed devoted achievements made by men and women of the University over the past time including fields in training, research and technology transfer, international cooperation,... Also, he laid stress on key activities in new school year. On the occasion, the Rector sent his grateful thanks and congratulations to all teachers who have greatly contributed to the University education development.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the MOET leadership, Mr. Do Quoc Anh praised the efforts and achievements Lac Hong University has made for the past year. Specifically, Lac Hong University was honored to receive Excellent Emulation Flag of the MOET, Excellent University Trade Union of the National Education Union of Vietnam for 2013 - 2014 academic year and many certificates of merit from the MOET and the provincial Management Board for individuals and collectives.

Also at the new academic year opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri said Dong Nai provincial People's Committee would continue to order Lac Hong University key training majors related to electronics, technology sciences, supplement industry, services. In addition, at the event, six enterprises have signed cooperation agreements with the University.

Also at the ceremony, Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien representing the University Management Board revealed commendation and scholarship funds offered to students. Through the event, the University has received nearly VND 250 million from associate enterprises. The University has spent more than three billion dongs awarding scholarships to freshmen, poor studious students and excellent students who achieve high academic results. It also awarded certificates of merits to individuals and collectives for their achievements in study and scientific research in 2013 - 2014 academic year. Ending the ceremony, the University granted diplomas to new masters, new bachelors and engineers.
