MISF cultivates Scholarship Fund at LHU

In early 2015, Chairman of Trustees Board - General Manager of Mabuchi Motor Corporation Shinji Kamei came to LHU to suggest establishing Corporation's Scholarship Fund offered to LHU students. In the school year opening ceremony held on November 21, Mabuchi International Scholarship Foundation (MISF – Japan) awarded scholarship worth VND 250 million to LHU students.

During his working visit, Chairman of Mabuchi Motor Corporation launched non-interest  loan supporting program from MISF and the University, offered to students who have difficult circumstances.  Each student will be supported VND one million loan/ per month during 4 or 4,5 years. First turn, MISF has transferred VND 250 million to the University. The Fund is estimated to be up billions of dongs after 4 - 5 years of operation. Especially, this Fund brings three benefits as follow:

- Maintaining expenditure for students during their study.

- Awarding scholarships to newly entering students

- Graduates can return fund to continue to support later students

At the working session with LHU, General Secretary of Mabuchi Scholarship Fund - Mr. Shunichiro Onaka said "We want this scholarship fund to be maintained and rotationally developed to be able to bring up studying dreams of difficult students who are learning at LHU. We also hope that your University will accept our good intention - together cultivating talents to serve the community's development".

Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien shared with first students awarded scholarships from MISF.

During his meeting with scholarship receivers, Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien said that firstly, the University will award supporting money to its students.  After their graduation, they can return the supported money back to continue to assist later generations. It is unworldly and humanitarian meaningfulness when MISF establishes and develops the Fund. And students themselves are educated gratitude lesson and they can repay by helping others who have the same staring point.

Each student recommended will receive scholarship during their study at the campus.

Currently, Mabuchi Motor Scholarship Fund has been applied at three universities including Ha Noi Foreign Trade University, Da Nang University and Lac Hong University.  Accordingly, this Fund has been piloted at the first three universities at the North, the Central and the South. And more universities will be chosen in the future. This is really a great honor for LHU when cooperating with such a strong corporation like Mabuchi Motor. It is also the hope, the wings offered to difficult students who can study and perfect their dreams at LHU.
