LHU to boost cooperation tie with Taiwanese Commerce Association

In the morning of May 9, Taiwanese Commerce Association in Dong Nai province and Kaohsiung Open University had a working session with LHU Management Board. The working session focused on visiting and promoting cooperation relations between sides, specifically coordination to open training classes for Taiwanese people who work in Dong Nai.

Receiving the delegation were Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Head of International Relation Department Huynh Trung Tam, Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty Nguyen Thi Anh and Head of Chinese Studies Branch Phung Kim Nga. The delegation included Mr. Peter Wu - Vice Head of Taiwanese Commerce Association and Mr. Chane Huey Por - Rector of Kaohsiung Open University and some main lecturers.

"Before the integration trend, Taiwanese businesses which come to Vietnam to invest in Dong Nai have been increasing and received great support from the local authority.  Therefore, they also require human resources with high qualification and management skill ... To meet training targets suitable for enterprises, Taiwanese Commerce Association in Dong Nai in cooperation with Kaohsiung Open University implements the project to open training classes for Taiwanese people who work in Dong Nai province. In this project, Kaohsiung Open University expects LHU to coordinate lecturers to join in teaching together." said Rector of Kaohsiung Open University Chane Huey Por at the first working session between sides.

At the working session, units has respectively introduced their activities in detail as well as expressed their expectations.

On behalf of LHU Management Board, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan accepted the proposal from Mr. Chane Huey Por. She also expressed her sincere thanks to Taiwanese Commerce Association in Dong Nai province and Kaohsiung Open University for their trust and cooperation intention to develop the project together. The University Management Board will discuss cooperation plans and set up a working session between sides at the earliest time.
