Additional VND 500 million for Mabuchi - LHU Scholarship Fund

After one year applying scholarship project of Mabuchi International Scholarship Foundation (MISF – Japan) for LHU students, on the morning of October 26, a delegation from MISF led by Vice General Secretary of Mabuchi Motor Fund Soichiro Yamada visited and worked with LHU Management Board and Mabuchi - LHU Fund Management Board. Standing Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien, Director of Enterprise Relation and Student Support Center Tran Dung and Head of Japanese Studies Department Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuong warmly received the delegation.

Vice General Secretary of Mabuchi Motor Fund Soichiro Yamada (black suit) firstly visited and worked with LHU Management Board and Mabuchi - LHU Fund Management Board.

In 2016 - 2017 academic year, MISF continues to sponsor VND 500 million to Mabuchi -LHU Scholarship Fund (increasing double compared to 2015). With this sponsor, besides supporting students selected in first turn, Mabuchi - LHU Fund Management Board continues to select students of 2016 course for the second turn.

Early 2015, Chairman of Trustees Board - General Director of Mabuchi Motor Corporation Shinji Kamei visited and proposed establishing Mabuchi Motor Scholarship Fund for LHU students. Starting the program, MISF awarded scholarship worth VND 250 million to LHU students.

At the working session, the two sides evaluated the result of the project in the first year. They also exchanged advantages and difficulties as well as contributions for effective operation.

Mabuchi - LHU Scholarship Fund is a non-interest loan supporting project from MISF offered to students who have difficult circumstances. Each student will be supported VND one million loan/ per month during 4 or 4,5 years. Especially, this Fund brings three benefits as follow:

- Maintaining expenditure for students during their study.

- Awarding scholarships to newly entering students

- Graduates can return fund to continue to support later students

After two years of operation at LHU, this Fund has increased VND 750 million. The Fund is estimated to be up nearly VND 2 billion after few years.
