LHU receives Government's Emulation Flag

On May 18th, the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, the provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a solemn ceremony to present noble rewards of the Party and the State (stage 1/2017). Here Dr. Diep Cam Thu - Chairman of Trade Union, Vice Rector on behalf of LHU Management Board received the Emulation Flag of the Government. The program took place at the Provincial Convention and Events Center. This meaningful event aimed to celebrate the 127th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 70th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong - Member of Central Party Committee - Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of Dong Nai People's Council awarded the Government's Emulation Flag to LHU.

The program saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the provincial People's Committee - Chairman of the Provincial Council for Emulation and Reward; Representatives of departments, agencies and individuals and organizations rewarded.

This time, LHU was honored to be the only university of the province awarded the Government's Emulation Flag for the creative emulation achievement in scientific research activities and in academic competitions for students such as: Vietnam Robocon, Shell Eco-marathon ASIA ... Especially, the ceremony also awarded the title of National Emulation Fighter to People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai - Rector of LHU.

Speaking about the patriotic emulation movement in the locality, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Council for Emulation and Reward Dinh Quoc Thai said that from the emulation movements launched in recent years, the province has discovered many collectives and individuals with many outstanding achievements in many fields, contributing to successfully implementing the province's socio-economic development objectives and tasks.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Quoc Thai awarded certificates of merit of the Prime Minister to excellent individuals and collectives at the event.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dinh Quoc Thai also asked committees, authorities, departments and social organizations in the province to do better the work of paying respects by practical things and collectives, individuals to continue to strive, actively join in patriotic emulation movements and achieve more outstanding achievements.

On the occasion, 30 mothers with husbands and children who died in the resistance were awarded the title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"; Two individuals received the National Great Solidarity Medal; One individual received the title of National Emulation Fighter, Two collectives and seven individuals received the Second-class Labor Medal; One collective and Two individuals received the Third-class Labor Medal; One collective received Government's Emulation Flag; Three collectives and 33 individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.
