​LHU robot teams ready for National Robocon 2018

In the morning of April 26, LHU held a send-off ceremony for its robot team to prepare for the National Robot Contest 2018 which will be held from March 8 - 13 in Vinh Phuc province, also choosing two best teams representing Vietnam at the 2018 Asian-Pacific Robot Contest scheduled for August 28 in Ninh Binh province. The ceremony took place at the Center for Scientific Research and Application. The event saw the presence of Rector Do Huu Tai, Permanent Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien - Head of Robocon Management Board, Chairman of Trade Union - Vice Rector Diep Cam Thu, leaders of departments and units and members of robot teams.

Participating in the Southern regional qualifier round, LHU had six teams. Accordingly, five of them (LH-WINGS; LH-QT; LH-NEW; LH-GALAXY and LH-ATM) were chosen for the National Robocon 2018.

Robot teams showed their determination to win victory at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Head of Lac Hong Robocon Management Board issued an order for robot teams. This is a traditional activity of Lac Hong Robocon. Following that, Head of Robocon Delegation 2018 Nguyen Ba Thuan on behalf of instructors and robot teams made a promise of determination. After the ceremony, the Delegation moved to Tran Bien Temple of Literature to perform memorial incense burning rite. Thousands of hearts of Lac Hong and senior leaders are anxiously waiting for a new meaningful record set by Lac Hong Robocon.

Every year, Robocon playground brings a new theme with different rules and requirements. That is the point making the appeal of the competition for many years. Being the host of ABU Robocon this year, Vietnam has chosen the Robocon theme 2018 as "Throwing con", based on a Vietnamese folk game every Tet occasion.
