Noted activities in September

Freshmen were "exhausted" by outdoor activities

LHU had a very active September with extra-curricular activities for welcoming new students. Accordingly, candidates who completed early admission procedures, in addition to the 20% discount on tuition fees, would receive a gift package worth VND 12 million to participate in skills classes and early experiences.

Freshmen were taken to visit Tran Bien Temple of Literature and Dong Nai Museum to participate in outdoor activities. Here they were so excited to join in games and Team Building activities. These outdoor activities helped new students relieve the stress of the recent volatile entrance exam. They had opportunities to make acquaintances with new friends from different areas. Joining extra-curricular activities, freshmen learned to begin an independent life and well as and prepare for their study in a university environment.

After outdoor activities and memorable experiences, freshmen were welcomed with special activities prepared by teachers and senior students.

To welcome new students, each Faculty has brought its own distinctive colors. Freshmen were impressed by music, gala nights, arts performances and colorful activities. Welcoming activities were combined with foreign language clubs for language majors. Finance - accounting major welcomed new students by lantern festival. CATIA Workshop

In mid-September, the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics organized a workshop on Applying CATIA software in the Automotive sector at the Center for Scientific Research and Application. The workshop saw the presence of the faculty leaders, representatives of New System Vietnam, teachers and students of Automotive Engineering Technology. CATIA is a powerful CAD/CAM/CAE software, developed by Dassault Systemes and widely used in automotive industry, aerospace sector, energy,...

At the workshop, representatives of New System Vietnam introduced the system and the role of CATIA in the present. The workshop is directed towards first year students of Automotive Engineering Technology who have no experience with the software. It is also intended to provide the basics of CATIA to the participants.

The 44th blood donation program launched

353 units of blood collected at the 44th blood donation program by LHU Youth Union - Student Association in cooperation with Dong Nai province’s Red Cross Association and Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Center in HCM City.

With the message "A drop of blood given, Millions of lives received", the program attracted the great participation of officials, lecturers, staff and students of LHU.  The blood donation program is a meaningful activity for members of the University to show their good deeds for the community, contributing to provide blood sources to save people's lives. The 44th humanitarian blood donation program was also sponsored by the C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, the True Milk - TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company and Mai Phuong Computer in Bien Hoa city.

To drive safely 2020 held by the MOET

In the morning of Sept 26, nearly 1000 LHU students joined the training class "Traffic safety laws and safe driving skills for students by 2020" held by the Ministry of Education and Training in cooperation with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company. The event took place at the second campus of LHU.

The event saw the presence of Ms. Le Thi Hang - Deputy Director of Political Education and Pupil and Student Affairs Department, the MOET, Mr. Vu Duc Phuc - Expert of National Traffic Safety Committee, Mr. Bui Van Tuan - Chief of Traffic Safety Board of Dong Nai, representing leaders of Buu Long ward and the University Management Board. 

At the training class, participants were provided with information about the Road Traffic Law, safe driving skills. Besides, trainers gave students instructions on how to handle traffic situations, practical safe driving skills on the road. Here, students excitedly participated in games on traffic law knowledge and received attractive gifts. After the training class, students experienced new motorcycle models of Honda company.

LHU CAMPING TOURS 2020 Casting

Nearly 30 performances were performed at the casting session at the Hera studio, to find out "hot face" to prepare for the gala night - the Opening ceremony of new school year which will be held late Oct.

LHU Camping Tours 2020 will be an amazing music night to welcome new students since it gathers famous young singers and stars in Viet showbiz. The casting will select best performances to show at the gala night.

Maintaining career-oriented talkshow

In addition to activities for new students entering the first batch, LHU continues to promote enrollment work through talk show program "Future of 2k2". Four topics were published in Sept including Introduction to majors with alumni; Policies to support freshmen, Enterprises go with 2k2, LHUers' aspirations. The talk show program has been being implemented and broadcast every Thursday.

The talk show program continues to share hot topics to accompany students of 2020

Every week, the program invites speakers as admission consultants, lecturers, businesses, alumni, etc., to provide useful information about admission, facilities, training program, policies to support freshmen,...also to share "hot" topics relating to the enrollment and future orientations. In addition, the program provides useful information about LHU's enrollment, facilities, training programs,  policies and scholarships to support new students.
