Serving the community - A call from the heart

Recently, LHU's Faculty of Pharmacy has delivered 3,400 bottles of nanosilver hand sanitizers (equivalent to 340 liters) to Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces to support poor rural areas.

With the contribution of lecturers, students and alumni from Phu Yen, Binh Dinh who are working and studying at LHU, 3,400 bottles of hand sanitizers were donated to poor people in Phu Yen and Binh Dinh.

Dr. Cao Van Du, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy said 1,200 bottles of hand sanitizers were sent to Phu Yen province. And 2,200 bottles was donated to the Hospital of Traditional Medicine and An Lao District in Binh Dinh province. These were difficulties localities and due to the complicated epidemic outbreaks, the Faculty wanted to share difficulties with the people here.

Mr. Du added the nanosilver hand sanitizers were researched and produced by the Faculty of Pharmacy's lecturers and students. "Nanosilver resists bacterial species and some viral strains. The combination of nanosilver with antibacterial ingredients increases the bactericidal ability of dry hand sanitizers".

3,400 bottles of nanosilver hand sanitizers were delivered to Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces to help poor people to prevent the disease

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector of LHU, the University has so far donated thousands of bottles of nanosilver antibacterial hand sanitizer to large hospitals, medical facilities, schools and local people in Dong Nai and the Southeast provinces. "Since the number of Covid-19 patients have rapidly increased, sharing with the community is a must".

Right from the first epidemic at the end of 2019 - early 2020, LHU has researched and produced nanosilver antibacterial hand sanitizers and promptly supported people in Dong Nai, Binh Duong provinces and neighboring localities.
