LHU's participation in tree planting activity with Onsemi

LHU on August 3, 2024 participated in the project "planting 500 trees" with On Semiconductor Vietnam Co., Ltd (Onsemi) at Ta Kou Nature Reserve. The program aiming to reduce desertification, protect water security and biodiversity, and respond to climate change received the participation of nearly 300 Onsemi's employees, partners and schools.

This is the second year LHU has honorably joined hands with the Company. In 2023, 500 trees were planted at Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve, covering 1 hectare of forest.

Coming to Binh Thuan sand dunes for the first time, representatives of LHU were so surprised. Stories about climate change, drought, and desertification shared throughout the journey were clearly visible in the strange landscape of vast and empty sand dunes.

To help prevent desertification and sandstorms, preserve underground water sources for the area, LHU representatives and their families enthusiastically planted trees. The children did not mind the hot weather, happily helping their parents fill the sand and hold the trees. They all were excited to bring vitality to the sand dunes. Hopefully, the sand dunes will be covered with a green forest when they return later.

500 trees planted at Ta Kou Nature Reserve

After finishing tree planting, the delegation arrived at Ta Cu Mountain Tourist Area, taking a cable car to see the whole Ta Kou Nature Reserve, one of the 221 most important ecological regions in the world. With an engaging narration, the delegation learned more about the dry deciduous forest ecosystem, interesting tree species, and enjoyed the scenery with melodious music. Even more fascinating, the delegation had a meal on the mountain, feeling the cool, fresh air, which made them relaxed and fully energized.

After that, the group conquered Ta Kou mountain peak, visited Linh Son Truong Tho pagoda with the biggest Buddha statue in Southeast Asia, and learned about interesting plants such as To dieu, Tung Bach tan, Da bop co,... During the journey, everyone felt more peaceful and healthy when experiencing the mountains and forests through all 5 senses.

This tree planting activity and meaningful trip also contribute to marking the extensive cooperation in many fields between LHU and Onsemi Company. Wishing this relationship stronger and more prosperous.
