LHU Party Secretary honored with "National Security Protection" Commemorative Medal from the Minister of Public Security

Ahead of the 81st National Day of Vietnam (September 2), Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Outstanding Teacher – Secretary of the Party Committee of LHU, was honored to receive the “National Security Protection” Commemorative Medal from the Minister of Public Security. The award is a meaningful recognition of her contributions to the cause of protecting national security and is also a source of joy and pride for the entire LHU community.

The “National Security Protection” Commemorative Medal holds special significance as it recognizes individuals who have made positive contributions to maintaining security and public order and building the people’s national security posture. For Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, this recognition is even more meaningful as it reflects her long-standing dedication to Party affairs, education, and the development of the University.

With 50 years of Party membership, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan has devoted a long journey to personal development, dedication, and upholding the qualities of a Party member. Throughout her years at LHU, in every position she has held, she has always placed responsibility toward the University community, students, and the sustainable development of LHU as a top priority.

As Secretary of the Party Committee, she and the University Party Committee have focused on building a strong Party organization and promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party officials and members. At the same time, Party-building activities have been closely connected with professional duties and with fostering political awareness, ethics, and a sense of responsibility among staff, lecturers, and students.

In the higher education environment, ensuring security and safety is not only a management requirement but also an important part of building a stable, civilized, and responsible learning environment. With this understanding, the Party Committee and the University have, over the years, paid close attention to raising awareness of law compliance and coordinating communication and education on security and public order; preventing potential risks affecting students, and strengthening each member’s responsibility for maintaining a safe educational environment.

Receiving the “National Security Protection” Commemorative Medal is a great honor for Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan. However, behind this recognition is also the contribution of a collective that has worked together to build an educational environment based on discipline, responsibility, and respect for the law.

For LHU, the achievements of each staff member and lecturer are always closely connected with the University’s overall development. Therefore, the Commemorative Medal presented to the Secretary of the Party Committee is not only a recognition of an individual but also reflects the collective efforts of LHU in working alongside the local authorities, relevant agencies, and the community to build a safe and stable educational environment. These values will continue to be spread among every member of LHU, thereby contributing to building a university that not only improves the quality of education and training but also provides a safe, disciplined, humane, and socially responsible educational environment.
