The contest marked the 76th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. It brought together 25 contestants from 19 universities in southern Vietnam, giving students a chance to practice their Chinese language skills, showcase their talents, and learn more about Chinese culture.

Two contest rounds combining language and culture

The contest included two rounds. In the first, contestants gave a presentation in Chinese on one of four topics, with a time limit of five minutes. They were assessed on their language skills, ability to present ideas clearly, and confidence in expressing their views.

In the second round, contestants performed a talent act related to Chinese culture within six minutes. Performances included singing, dancing, martial arts, calligraphy, paper cutting, dubbing, and musical instruments.

The two rounds allowed students to apply their Chinese language skills and show their creativity and understanding of Chinese culture. The contest also gave them an opportunity to meet and learn from students at other universities.
