LHU starts new school year 2023-2024

LHU on November 9 evening solemnly held a ceremony to welcome the new academic year 2023-2024 at Buu Long Tourist Park, Bien Hoa city. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung and leaders of departments and agencies attended the event.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the University Council; DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; members of the Rectorate Board, leaders of units under LHU, invited guests, lecturers, staff members, and more than 3,500 students at all levels.

Opening the event, all the participants looked back at outstanding accomplishments LHU has achieved in the 2022-2023 academic year through a summary video.

At the event, LHU was honored to receive a Certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training for its positive contributions in implementing the Project "Supporting students to start a business until 2025".

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Son Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated LHU's efforts and achievements for the past academic year, especially in education quality accreditation and scientific research and technology transfer activities. He also expected LHU would continue to improve its training quality; promote scientific research activities; and closely follow the national and provincial socio-economic development orientations.

In his opening remarks, DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector praised and acknowledged the teaching staff's efforts and dedication which have significantly contributed to the success of LHU; extended congratulations to current students for their successful academic year; and gave a warm welcome to the new students of the 2023-2024 academic year. He also expressed his hope that they would take every effort to pursue their studies, concurrently reminding and extending best wishes to all students.

On this occasion, LHU awarded 17 scholarships worth 250 million VND (100% of the first semester's tuition) to 9 new students with outstanding entrance academic results and 8 freshmen with high achievements in the provincial and national contests. There were also 6 Talent scholarships awarded to 6 students with the highest results in the English proficiency contest for the 2023 intake.

The 2023-2024 academic year opening ceremony combined with the Student Festival is a traditional event of LHU. Right after the ceremony, thousands of students immersed themselves in a bustling party of music and lights through the performance of singers Truc Nhan, Gil Le, DJ MC GOKU, DJ STTY, DJ HAGII, many music groups,...
