Conference to recognize achievements in science and technology, community service and student affairs, 2023-2024 academic year

On July 17 morning, at Auditorium A301, campus 1, LHU solemnly held a conference to close and recognize significant achievements in science and technology, community service and student affairs in the 2023-2024 academic year.

Excellent individuals and author groups in science and technology, community connections, and student affairs honored and commended

The event is an opportunity for the University to summarize, evaluate and acknowledge collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in science and technology activities, important contributions to community service and student support, at the same time encouraging the learning and research spirit among lecturers and staff across the University.

At the event, all participants listened and approved summary reports on science and technology; innovative solutions, community connection activities and student affairs in the 2023-2024 school year.

Representatives of author groups also presented and shared their research topics and valuable experience in organizing community service activities in 2023-2024.

On the occasion, the University commended and recognized collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in science and technology, innovative solutions, community service and student affairs in the 2023-2024 school year.

The University also congratulated and honored 6 collectives for successfully completing the community service work in 2023-2024, namely Faculty of Pharmacy; Faculty of Food Science & Technology; Office of Student Affairs; Center of Admissions & Public Relations; Faculty of Finance and Accounting; and Faculty of Administration and International Economics.

In his remarks, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector said “Three main development goals of LHU are training; scientific research and technology transfer; and community service. Among these, promoting scientific research and technology transfer activity is extremely important for universities. It not only improves the university's training quality and reputation, but also promotes socio-economic development through implementing research results into practice. Furthermore, connecting with the community helps create a dynamic learning environment, promoting creativity and entrepreneurship among students. This also contributes to solving local and national practical problems, strengthening the close connection between school and society".

Apart from research activity, LHU pays special attention to community connections. The University has implemented many volunteer programs to support local people, especially in difficult areas. Student affairs is one of the important tasks of LHU as well. In the 2022-2023 academic year, it has implemented many programs and activities to improve the quality of comprehensive education for students.

To end the conference, the Rector directed and launched emulation movements in science and technology, and community service in the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
