At the working session, Onsemi's representatives revealed its development process in Dong Nai and highlighted the importance of cooperating with educational institutions such as LHU and HCM City University of Technology Education to support the development of human resource training programs for the semiconductor sector. The Company has proactively received interns and created job opportunities for them after graduation. Particularly, it has weekly coordinated with LHU to develop an outline for the semiconductor industry while implementing specific cooperation programs on training, research, and community service.

Onsemi's leaders also sent thanks to LHU for training many excellent personnel currently making up the majority of the workforce. Many of them holding important leadership positions have contributed significantly to Onsemi's sustainable development.

Also, Arizona State University (ASU) presented an overview of the International Technology Security and Innovation (ITSI) Fund Project, a key initiative to connect advanced technology with the Vietnamese market. All the parties discussed in detail the collaboration in the ITSI project and plans for future projects, aiming to strengthen production capacity and personnel training for the semiconductor industry with the support of international partners as ASU.

For his part, Mr. Ta Quang Truong, Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications expressed his hope that professors from ASU will have more in-depth working sessions with provincial leaders to expand the ITSI Fund project among other universities and colleges in Dong Nai, thereby developing a professional training system and improving human resources for the semiconductor industry.

Mr. Truong also wished to soon receive research results from the ITSI project for implementation in Dong Nai, especially strategies for attracting investors, assessing potential locations for semiconductor plants, criteria for selecting suitable enterprises, and policies for human resources development.

Mr. Jeffrey Goss, Vice President of ASU stated all the units will soon receive invitations to attend a 5-day strategy development forum, held at ASU in November. This is an important opportunity for all to discuss long-term development strategies together, thereby contributing to shaping the future of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.

The working session ended with expectations for new steps in the collaboration between Dong Nai province, LHU, Onsemi, and international partners like ASU. All the parties will continue to work together to build sustainable development solutions for the semiconductor industry and train high-quality human resources, opening up many development opportunities for both Dong Nai and the region.
