LHU completes 405th AUN-QA Programme Assessment's interview sessions

On September 25 afternoon, 2024, LHU and the AUN-QA assessors concluded the final interview sessions of the 405th AUN-QA assessment for 4 training programs: Tourism and Travel Services Management; Chinese Language; Food Technology and Automotive Engineering Technology.

After the opening session, the AUN-QA assessors took turns to review self-assessment reports and demonstrative documents; interview leaders of the four faculties, leaders of the four assessed programs, leaders of departments, offices, and centers; work with relevant stakeholders including students, alumni, lecturers, support staff and employers,...

Also as planned, the assessment team collected evidence through visiting the University and programs’ facilities like Library, Computer rooms, Studio room, Center of Scientific Research and Applications, Dormitory, Fitness room,... classrooms and practice rooms of the four assessed programs.

After 2 diligent working days, LHU has completed the interview sessions with stakeholders of the 4 programs. The closing session of the 405th AUN-QA Programme Assessment will be held on Sept 26 morning. The AUN-QA assessors will announce their preliminary findings and give the University recommendations for the quality improvement of the four programs.

Currently, LHU has 10 AUN-QA accredited programs, including Information Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Pharmacist, Accounting, English Language, Business Administration, Japanese Studies, Construction Engineering Technology, Finance - Banking, and Automation - Control Engineering Technology.

LHU has been a member of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance since 2017. The AUN-QA assessment includes 11 standards, including Expected Learning Outcomes, Programme Specification, Programme Structure and Content, Teaching and Learning Approach, Student Assessment, Academic Staff Quality, Support Staff Quality, Student Quality, Facilities and Infrastructure, Quality Enhancement, Output and Outcomes.

LHU is one of the prestigious private universities in Vietnam. With its four programs being assessed by AUN-QA this time, prospective students and other stakeholders will have more compelling evidence to place their complete trust in LHU. Comments and recommendations from the experienced AUN-QA assessors are expected to further improve the quality of training programs.
