Proud LHU students at VietFuture Awards 2024

LHU students have just made a strong impression at the VietFuture Awards 2024, one of the leading prestigious innovation competitions in Vietnam. With their creative spirit and relentless efforts, two student teams from the Faculty of Information Technology (IT) and the Faculty of Mechatronics – Electronics excellently secured the First and Third prizes in the two fields: Artificial Intelligence and Automation; and Education, Learning, and Training 4.0.

Accordingly, the LHU ST AI team excellently won the First prize with the project "Using AI to automate the process of classifying and pricing silkworm cocoons", instructed by IT lecturer Phan Thien Phuoc. The team was made up of students from the Faculty of IT and the Faculty of Mechatronics – Electronics.

In addition, the LHU Synergasía team secured the Second prize with the project "LMS automated grading system", carried out by IT students and guided by MSc. Phan Thi Huong - IT lecturer.

Besides the dedicated and thoughtful guidance from Mr. Phuoc and Ms. Huong, both teams received support and companionship from their devoted lecturers MSc. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice Dean and Mr. Bui Xuan Canh during the competition.

This year's competition attracted numerous projects across the country, fiercely competing for the judging panel's recognition. The victory at the VietFuture Awards 2024 not only brings joy to the students but also pride to the entire LHU. It is also a clear testament to the innovative teaching methods, encouraging students to develop comprehensively, from specialized knowledge to practical application skills.

The VietFuture Awards 2024 is an award for innovative startups, annually organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA). It serves as a prestigious platform for innovative startup ideas from university and college students nationwide. VietFuture is not only a stage for young people to showcase their talents but also a launching pad for potential R&D projects to be commercialized, opening up opportunities for collaborations with businesses and major partners in the technology industry.

On coming December 2, 2024, members of the two teams will be officially honored and recognized at the 2024 VietFuture award ceremony held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.
