LHU strengthens scientific research and academic innovation

As one of the pioneering non-public universities that integrates education with research and innovation, LHU has always emphasized scientific research as a vital foundation to affirm its academic reputation and brand. Continuing this spirit, on the morning of November 12, 2025, LHU successfully organized the 42nd Lac Hong Science and Technology Day, which attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students across the University.

The annual event aims to review and honor outstanding research projects while spreading a spirit of research and innovation within the academic community. It also serves as an opportunity for the University to look back on its remarkable achievements over the years, further affirming its position in Vietnam’s higher education system.

Over the years, LHU has made its mark on major intellectual platforms such as the Vietnam Robot Contest (Robocon) and the Science and Technology Innovation Competitions in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces. Most recently, two students from the Faculty of Finance – Accounting won the Second prize at the Ministry-level Student Science and Technology Awards, showcasing LHU students’ academic competence and creative spirit.

At the event, Dr. Nguyen Van Tan, Dean of the Faculty of Administration and International Economics, delivered a keynote presentation titled “AI and career prospects in the field of Economics”, providing new perspectives on digital transformation in education and the labor market. Meanwhile, Dr. Nguyen Van Hai, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance – Accounting, shared insights on “Opportunities and directions for postgraduate studies in Economics”, helping students plan their long-term academic paths.

On the occasion, LHU announced the Decision of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee to commend collectives and individuals for their achievements at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon). The University also conferred the institutional-level Science and Technology Awards, honored students with prizes at the 42nd Lac Hong Science and Technology Day, and announced the results of the 1st round of the 2025–2026 LHU Science and Technology Contest.

Outstanding online exhibition projects receiving honors and awards 

The 42nd Lac Hong Science and Technology Day featured 14 award-winning research projects and 48 projects showcased in an online exhibition held from October 27 to November 3, 2025.

Continuing its commitment to innovation, LHU reaffirms its position as a dynamic center for education and scientific research. The University aims to build a modern academic environment that fosters creativity, contributes to knowledge development, and nurtures high-quality human resources for the Southern region and the nation as a whole.
