Exchange program with Gyeongnam province's Youth Union

In the morning of June 1, LHU held a cultural and arts exchange program with a delegation from Gyeongnam province's Youth Union. The program took place by the proposal made by the Representative Office of Gyeongnam province in Ho Chi Minh City.

The program was attended by Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Head of International Relation Department Huynh Trung Tam, Vice Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty Nguyen Huu Nghi, Mr. Yang Eun Ju - Head of Representative Office of Gyeongnam province in HCM City and Ms. Park Ju Yeon - Head of Gyeongnam province's Youth Union delegation.

 and received a souvenir gift from Ms. Park Ju Yeon - Head of Gyeongnam province's Youth Union delegation.

The friendship between Dong Nai province (Vietnam) and Gyeongnam province (Korea) after 20 years of establishment (1995-2016), especially cultural bridge and language practice is a precious exchange and learning opportunity for students of Korean Studies major and Gyeongnam province's Youth Union. At the program, the participants enjoyed many special arts performance items of the two different cultures.

Speaking at the program, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan said "Dong Nai province and Gyoengnam province have been friends for many years. Since established in 1993, the two provinces have organized many cultural exchange programs, promoting development cooperation in many fields, especially in economy and education. During the past years, as an firstly established univeristy in Dong Nai, especially Korean language training program, LHU has actively pioneered to join in cultural exchange programs between the two provinces, supporting interpretation, guiding the delegation, training Vietnamese language and organizing exchange activities between LHU students and youths of Gyeongnam province."

Reportedly, Dong Nai province has established Dong Nai provincial Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association, term 2016 - 2021. The University has been honored to send Korean Studies lecturers to join in the Friendship Association Member. This event has boosted ties between Vietnam and Korea in general as well as Dong Nai province and Gyoengnam province in particular.

In late 2015, through Representative Office of Gyeongnam province’s introduction, LHU began to build associate programs with three big universities of Gyeongnam province namely Gyeongnam University, Gyeongsan University and Ulsan University.
