Rector Do Huu Tai received First Class Labor Medal

In the morning of June 10, LHU delegation was honored to attend the ceremony to award noble rewards of the Party and the State, stage one - 2016, held by Provincial Committee of the Party, Provincial People's Council, People's Committee and Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at Provincial Convention Center. The ceremony has respectfully acknowledged and honored contribution and devotion made by collectives and individuals in revolution as well as the construction and development of the country for the past time.

People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai honored to receive First Class Labor Medal for his outstanding contributions and devotion in education.

At the awarding ceremony, People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai was the only individual to be awarded First Class Labor Medal. This was a great honor marking his devoted contributions in education in nearly 50 years. Especially, he has leaded and managed the University to gain many outstanding achievements. Besides training activity which has attracted the trust of the community and leaders at all levels, scientific research works of the University have got big results from national commendation councils such as Vifotec, Vietnam Young Science Talent Award, WiPo…Technology transfer activity with progressive applications serving practical production and community's life.... Students of LHU have proved their positions at international competitions such as ABU Asian-Pacific Robot Contest, Shell Eco-marathon Asia ...

Also at the ceremony, LHU was awarded Second Class Labor Medal.

To gain these achievements, the Rector and the Management Board has built development strategies, actively applied research - teaching method renovation, built outcome standard system, promoted scientific research activity, experience initiatives, bravely invested facilities and upgrade equipment serving training program and experiment practice, constructed more research centers, laboratories, workshops equipped with modern devices. As the first university in Dong Nai province, after nearly 20 years of establishment and development, LHU yearly provides the society with qualified bachelors and engineers. In recently years, receiving the trust of the Ministry of Education and Training, the University has gradually affirmed its brand name and training quality when finishing Master level training and permitted to train PhD level, meeting the need of training high quality human resources for the locality and nearby provinces.

In addition to education, People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai actively participates in study encouragement; donate hundreds of scholarships valued at billions of dongs to poor studious pupils and students each academic year. Also, in the role as Chairman of Provincial Charity Association, he regularly contributes hundreds of million dongs and campaigns benefactors to join in charity activities such as presenting charity houses, supporting poor households and some charitable programs.

On the occasion, LHU was also awarded Second Class Labor Medal for its excellent achievements in research, creativity and its championship tile at Shell Eco-marathon Asia. In addition, members of Robocon Lac Hong were presented certificates of merit for their First, Second, and Third Prizes at Robocon Vietnam 2016 and the representative of Vietnam to participate in the ABU Asian-Pacific Robot Contest in August in Thailand.
