The MOET honors 2018 ABU Robocon champion

This morning, a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) led by Mr. Bui Van Linh - Head of Department of Political Education and Student Affairs came to LHU to award certificates of merit of the MOET to the LH - GALAXY team - the champion of ABU Robocon 2018.

The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan An Viet - Director of Press Center of the MOET, Mr. Ho Nhu Duyen - Head of Professional Department of Southern Education and Training Development Center, Department of Emulation and Reward and central press agencies. The delegation was received by Permanent Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien, the University Management Board, leaders of Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics and members of the LH - GALAXY team.

At the awarding ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Linh reviewed the achievements of Lac Hong Robocon movement in recent years (seven championships at the National Robocon, three championships at the ABU Robocon 2014, 2017 and 2018), especially the recent victory before the heavyweight rivals - Japan and China, bringing honor and pride to the host nation in the final round of 2018 ABU Robocon. The Head also stressed on the intellectual values of Robocon playground and the role of Vietnamese students in general, LHU students in particular during the Robocon history. Before the industrial revolution 4.0, the University should promote innovation and apply achievements of robot creation into practical activities for production life. Students should continue to study and cultivate intellectual morality to grasp further development opportunities in the future. With the speed of development and investment in recent years, besides Robocon movement, the school continues to focus on promoting scientific research, enhancing comprehensive development for students, opening talented clubs for students to practice and improve life skills to become global citizens... Hopefully, LHU will achieve more success in education.
