LH-WAO finishes third at ABU Robocon 2019

The LH-WAO team from LHU representing Vietnam was awarded third prize at the final round of the ABU Robocon 2019 which took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on August 25. The team also received the ABU Robocon Award by ABU Robocon Council in addition to a prize from Mabuchi, the competition’s sponsor. 

This is the third time LHU receives this ABU Robocon Award

The competition was organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union and Vietnam Television. This year’s ABU Robocon event featured 17 teams from 16 countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific region. The competition has the theme “Sharing the knowledge” initiated by host Mongolia.

LHU was claimed the champion at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest three times in 2014 in India, 2017 in Japan, and 2018 in Vietnam. It also won the National Robocon nine consecutive years. The ABU Robocon Contest 2020 will be hosted in Fiji.
