On the morning of June 9, 2026, LHU officially commenced the 523rd AUN-QA External Reassessment for four academic programs: Business Administration, Pharmacy, English Language, and Accounting. These programs were first evaluated by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) in 2021 and are now entering their five-year reassessment cycle following a period of continuous quality enhancement.
The event was attended by AUN-QA assessors from the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia, along with members of the University Council, the Board of Rectors, and representatives from faculties and administrative units across the University. According to the assessment schedule, the review team will examine supporting documentation, conduct stakeholder interviews, and inspect the university’s facilities and learning environment from June 9 to 11.

Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai – Chairwoman of the LHU Council delivered her welcome remarks
In her opening remarks, Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai, Chairwoman of the University Council, emphasized that participating in the reassessment is not merely about maintaining an existing quality certification. It is an opportunity to reflect on five years of innovation and development across academic programs, teaching methodologies, and student support systems. It also serves as evidence of the quality culture that LHU has steadily cultivated and sustained over the years.
While 2021 marked the milestone when these four programs first achieved AUN-QA accreditation, the period from 2021 to 2026 has been characterized by the university’s efforts to transform the assessors’ recommendations into tangible improvements. According to the University’s report, the faculties have comprehensively reviewed program learning outcomes, updated curricula to align with industry needs, introduced innovative teaching approaches, and expanded experiential learning opportunities for students.

The progress made by these four programs reflects the broader quality enhancement journey of LHU. From having 6 AUN-QA-accredited programs before 2021, the University now boasts 18 AUN-QA-accredited programs and two programs accredited by ABET. In 2024, LHU became the first university in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to achieve AUN-QA Institutional Accreditation, Version 3.0.
Alongside its quality assurance initiatives, LHU has continued to advance its internationalization efforts through partnerships with industry and leading universities worldwide. In particular, the strategic collaboration among LHU, CINTANA Education, and Arizona State University (ASU, USA) has created new opportunities for students and faculty members to engage in academic exchange, international learning experiences, and globally aligned educational standards.

The University recognized and honored units whose master’s degree programs successfully achieved AUN-QA accreditation
More than a routine quality assurance exercise, this AUN-QA reassessment gives LHU an opportunity to reflect on the five-year journey of continuous innovation of the four programs and the University as a whole. More importantly, it marks another step forward in the University’s ongoing commitment to building a learner-centered educational environment that embraces continuous improvement and deeper integration with the region and the world.
