LHU, Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital to boost medical cooperation

On September 4 afternoon, 2024, LHU visited and worked with Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, aiming to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two sides, especially in medical research and education.

Attending the working session, from LHU were Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Vice Rector; MSc. Do Khoi Nguyen - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, MA. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the Office of International Affairs. On the Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital's side, there were Mr. Chao Chung Lee - Founder; Specialist II Doctor Truong Quoc Chuong - Professional Director, along with a team of medical experts and doctors.

During the meeting, the two sides had in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the LHU Council expressed the desire to send medical students to intern and experience at the Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. This helps them not only gain real-world experience but also improve their skills and professional knowledge.

Addressing the working session, Mr. Chao Chung Lee - Founder of the Hospital was delighted to welcome and receive LHU's opinions and proposals for collaboration. He also expressed his wishes to promote both domestic and external cooperation ties. He emphasized "The Hospital not only improves the quality of medical services, but also spreads love and responsibility to the community. As a non-profit hospital, it prioritizes public health, ensuring that even the poorest people receive treatment".

Specialist Doctor Level II Truong Quoc Chuong also expressed his welcome to the collaboration proposals from LHU leaders. The Hospital would receive new interns, training them as real medical staff, and building a solid foundation for the country's future talents.

In addition, LHU decided to choose the Shing Mark University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital as a partner for its employees and students' periodic health check-ups. Also within the framework of the working session, LHU students had the opportunity to exchange with the Hospital's medical staff, together with Taiwanese interns to learn more about practical operations and advanced medical techniques. This is only an opportunity for learning but also an important stepping stone to help LHU students better prepare for their future careers.
