New beginning for LHU through U.S International Technology Security and Innovation Fund in Vietnam

On September 11, a delegation from LHU led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector attended a ceremony to announce the establishment of the U.S International Technology Security and Innovation Fund (ITSI) organized by the National Innovation Center in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy in Viet Nam and Arizona State University.

LHU participates in the training program for semiconductor experts in Vietnam

The launch of the U.S ITSI Fund marks the beginning of a new training program with international standards for semiconductor packaging and testing for lecturers and students of universities in Vietnam.

The training program, sponsored by ITSI, has trained a total of 202 lecturers. They come from Costa Rica (50 people), Philippines (31 people), Vietnam (121 people). Among them, 6 lecturers are from LHU.

The program has provided these lecturers with knowledge about semiconductor design and packages; key concepts including the structure and functions of semiconductor packaging and its importance; future challenges in semiconductor packaging; the future of semiconductor packaging; current and future trends in semiconductor design and packages,...

LHU is ready for semiconductor human resources training 

Reportedly, Vietnam is also actively collaborating with the U.S in implementing semiconductor initiatives, including the semiconductor expert network, aimed at facilitating Vietnam's deep participation in the global semiconductor industry supply chain. After intensive training sessions on semiconductors, 6 LHU lecturers will join Vietnam's semiconductor expert network aiming to contribute to the training of semiconductor engineers meeting the demands of both domestic and international markets, including U.S businesses.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh said "To prepare the workforce for Dong Nai province's upcoming digital transformation and for AI and semiconductor development, based on development strategies for dynamic economic regions and semiconductor industry, under the direction of Dong Nai leaders, in early 2024, LHU and SUN EDU International Education Joint Stock Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement to establish a semiconductor IC center at LHU". He added "Once operational, the center will serve as a hub gathering high-quality core experts and lecturers to continue training and developing the province's human resources, meeting the growing demand for human resources in this field".
