Gyeongnam Province Representative Office worked with LHU

In the morning of August 12, a delegation led by Head of Gyeongnam Province Representative Office Yang Eun Ju, accompanied with Head of Foreign Cooperation Division Linh Nguyen had a working session with LHU Management Board. Standing Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien, Head of International Relations Department Huynh Trung Tam and Vice Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty Nguyen Huu Nghi warmly received the delegation. It is said that Gyeongnam Province Representative Office plays a role as a bridge connecting the cooperation between Kyungnam University and LHU.

At the working session, Ms. Linh Nguyen - Head of Foreign Cooperation Division said that through deep friendship between Gyoengnam Province and Dong Nai Province, especially the great support from the University and students of Korean Studies major in visits of Gyoengnam Province's delegation which made a strong impression on leaders. To make this tie closer, Kyungnam University expressed its wish to cooperate with LHU. The Representative Office has made a bridge linking the two Universities. Firstly, they exchanged cooperation proposals and expectation from Kyungnam University. Then they listened to opinions and suggestions from LHU.

Before proposals from Kyungnam University, in the coming time, LHU will establish 6 month - apprenticeship plan in Korea offered to seniors, as expected.  With this cooperation, the University sees two realizable directions - firstly taking student to Korea to intern in yearly July to December, then evaluating students through their apprenticeship - secondly associating to establish training frame for senior students. Senior students will go to Korea to study one year and come back school to finish their graduation. The University will acknowledge seniors' study results based on assessment results from Korea.

The two sides were discussing cooperation program at the working session.

Ending the working session, Gyeongnam Province Representative Office will transfer working information to Kyungnam University. The two sides are expected to meet each other to discuss the results of this cooperation program in October, 2015.
