LHU received the Standing Mission of the Editorial Board of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee

Recently, a delegation from the Standing Mission of the Editorial Board of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee visited and worked with LHU to collect its training information in recent years. The aim of this working session was to prepare for the upcoming Party Congress.

The delegation led by Mr. Cao Viet Sinh - Senior Specialist, Former Permanent Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, the Permanent Editorial Team of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee, included Mr. Nguyen Ba An - Senior Specialist, Former General Secretary of the National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Improvement, Government Office, Mr. Bui Tat Thang - Chief of Editorial Board, Mr. Bui Xuan Du - Director General of Secretary - Editorial Department, Government Office, Ms. Bui Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Director General of Local and Territorial Economy Department, Ministry of Planning and Investment and other officials.

Dong Nai provincial Leaders included Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang - Director of Science and Technology Department, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nguyen - Deputy Director of Planning and Investment Department, Mr. Huynh Le Giang, Director of Department of Education and Training, other officials representing Offices of the Party Committee and the People's Committee.

Receiving the delegation was Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the Trustees Board, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan -  Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice Rector, Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Permanent Vice Rector, and other leaders in the Management Board.

Before the working session, the delegation visited main campuses of the University, the Robot Technology Center, Center for Scientific and Applied Research, practice rooms, and system of laboratories.

The delegation directly explored students' research activities.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Cao Viet Sinh especially appreciated LHU's achievements in science and technology competitions, scientific research, technology transfer especially Robocon.

Beside encouragement and remarks, the delegation asked many questions to learn more about LHU's orientations in digital transformation, artificial intelligence in training as well as mechanism to promote the development of scientific research activities with training and technology transfer. They also learned about LHU's challenges and limitations in training. This aimed to help the University solve difficult problems.

Also at the working session, LHU leaders and the Management Board shared the University's efforts in the past 23 years, revealed orientations, difficulties, challenges when being a private university as well.

The working session took place in an open atmosphere

Permanent Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien said the University had taken every effort to become a leading applied university. Therefore, the University had been implementing quality accreditation according to international standards like AUN-QA,  ABET.

Chairwoman of the Trustees Board Do Thi Lan Dai also stressed that the University's training programs were associated with enterprises reality. The University had been committed to guarantee jobs for graduates. She shared the University's difficulties such as financial restrictions, land fund. In addition, she expressed her expectations that the Government would consider developing policies to support private universities, especially LHU.

Ending the working session with LHU, the Editorial Board has collected important proofs to report to Leaders. Hopefully, expectations and development goals of LHU in particular and non-public universities in general will soon receive policies and support from the Leaders, helping universities complete their missions.
