Le Phuong Truong won Bronze at Germany International Trade Fair

Graduated in Electrical Engineering (course 2000 – 2005), excellent alumnus Le Phuong Truong was retained to do teaching at Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Electronics (now Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics). He is currently a PhD student at Da-Yeh University (course 2014 – 2017).

With the expectation to become a teacher to transfer knowledge and to inspire students in inventions in the fields of new energy, energy saving, energy audits,... after two years of working at LHU, he excellently got Master scholarship at Taiwan University. In 2010 he finished his Master program and returned school to continue his teaching.

Le Phuong Truong competed with 500 inventors in the world

Late 2004, Truong started PhD program. This time, he sent his invention "Autonomous active cooling and its thermoelectric generation for LED lighting” to the 67 international trade fair for “Ideas – Inventions – New Products” held in Germany and won Bronze Prize.

The Trade Fair took place during four days with the participation of 44 countries. There were about 700 inventions made by 500 inventors in the world. Reportedly, before exhibited, inventions must pass Assessment Council to ensure that invented product is new and meets the required criteria. At the exhibition, the organizers established Board of International Jury to mark inventions. Here, companies from countries would also visit and propose the purchase of invented products for their commercial production.

As one of the young lecturers of LHU, over the years of teaching, with his enthusiasm and creative passion, Le Phuong Truong has brought a collection of creatively scientific awards at home and abroad. In addition, he excellently instructed his students to achieve local scientific prizes. The awards he achieved when working at Lac Hong University are as follow:

- Receiving Creative Labor Certificate awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for two successive years  (2011-2012; 2012-2013);

- Wining two Second, one Third and many Consolation prizes at Dong Nai provincial Technical Invention Contest;

- Taking LHU students to energy-efficient vehicles designing contest. Up to this moment, LHU team has participated in these contests for 5 years held by Honda EMC). As a result, the team won two Style Awards and one Best Design. To 2014, Truong took LHU team to firstly join in Shell Eco Marathon Asia held in the Philippines.

By 2015, Truong attended abroad PhD program. He became an indirect adviser of LHU team instructed by Le Phuong Long, MSc. Thanks to him, LHU's LH-Gold Energy team excellently won the championship title at 2015 Shell Eco Marathon Asia at Urban concept category. LH-Gold Energy was also the fist team of Vietnam to triumph at the energy-efficiency vehicle competition after five years of participating from 2010 to 2015.
